TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

In this document Ashley Bantoft, trading as LUX Disco and/or LUX DJ’s, is hereinafter referred to as “the “service provider”, “company”, “we” or “DJ”.

 

The services to be provided by the service provider is described as hire of a Mobile DJ and/or hire of mobile disco equipment.

 

The location of performance can be found on the Venue details section of the booking form. (Hereinafter referred to as the “Venue”)

 

The date of the Performance shall be the date specified on the booking form (hereinafter referred to as the "Performance Date") and the start time and finishing time of the Performance shall also be as stated on the booking form in the Event Details section.

 

The client will be required to pay a non-returnable booking deposit of £50.00. The booking will not be considered finalised until the Service provided has received both a completed booking form and deposit payment. The service provider currently accepts payments by Cash, Cheque or Bank transfer. The booking is not considered finalised until both booking form and deposit payment has been received, signed and dated by the client.

 

Cancellations

The client may cancel the agreement at any time. The service provider requests that this is done so in writing, signed and dated, as proof of cancellation. In the event of the Client or the Venue wishing to cancel the Performance for any reason other than Act of God or Natural Disaster a late cancellation fee will apply as follows:

Bookings cancelled within:

  • 60 days of the Performance Date 50% of value of the Performance fee

  • 45 days of the Performance Date 75% of value of the Performance fee

  • 30 days of the Performance Date 100% of value of the Performance fee

Extension of Services & Performance

If you wish to extend the hours of your booking and it is not available on our booking system please contact us to arrange and we will be happy to check our schedule, subject to availability. Please note any extra time outside of the standard 5-hour period will be charged an extra hire fee.

The client must ensure that the venue is reserved for the amount of time needed, including times required for installation and pre-checks as well as the dismantling and removal of equipment from venue. We require 90 minutes before and after the event.

Requests

The client may wish to supply the service provider with a music request list. You must submit all requests at least 30 days prior to your event date allowing the DJ enough time to make sure he can meet the client’s requirements. We will notify you prior to your event date if we are unable to provide certain music or requests.

If the client wishes to supply their own requests this must be done digitally by a USB memory stick and any property of the client or clients guests left with the services provider is left at their own risk.

Although a playlist is optional, and guests can make requests at the time of the event. All DJ’s are fully trained and have experience of getting the crowd to move.

Equipment Installation & Dismantling

Access to the Venue must be available at least sixty minutes prior to the start time and sixty minutes after the finish time. If the Client or Venue has any special requirements for setting up or dismantling times or there are specified times of access, or any other restrictions which will impact on the DJ’s ability set up and dismantle the equipment, then the Client must provide these details at least fourteen days prior to the Performance Date. Any restrictions that are not notified to the service provider may attract additional charges and/or cause delay to the Performance.

 

Guests etiquette

 Any threats, either physical or verbal, will not be tolerated by the DJ and the DJ reserves the right to end the Performance at any time if he/she feels threatened in any way and the whole fee will remain payable.

The Client will provide and maintain adequate adult supervision at all times for any person in attendance under eighteen years of age. The supervising adult(s) will ensure that these persons do not interfere with the disco equipment or with the DJ performing their duties.

The supervising adults will assist the DJ with the organisation of the children during any games played at the Performance, if required.

 

Insurance

 We hold certification of public liability insurance and PAT testing for all equipment. These are available on request.

 

Equipment

 The service provider shall provide all sound and lighting equipment required. This will be detailed when you make your booking in a selection of packages. Our equipment may be upgraded throughout the time of booking and the date of your event, but we shall never downgrade your package, unless necessary and will always notify you beforehand.

 

If the client requires any special equipment added to their package e.g. radio microphones, smoke machine or any other special effect, they must notify us at least 30 days prior to the event date.

 

Please note that some special fx machines are occasionally banned from some venues, so please get consent from the venue management.
